Durrant Consulting Limited specialises in investigating and resolving defects in buildings affecting the external envelope and internal finishings and was set up in 1984 by Derek Durrant. He was fully involved in the preparation of British Standards for Insitu Flooring and External and Internal Tiling BS 8204, BS5385, for several years.
As a Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors, the Institute of Materials, Minerals and Mining and the Institute of Asphalt Technology, he has wide experience with mastic asphalt and its use on roofs, tanking, flooring, car park decks, waterproofing systems and administration of remedial contracts in roofing and facades. He is on the list of Consultants for the Mastic Asphalt Council.
